As a parent of an MSPI child, it’s hard enough to remember to check the labels on everything that goes into Mom’s mouth, and then having to remember to check medications for the baby as well.  But when you find a problem, and then try and solve it – and are constantly impeded by people who should know better, it’s infuriating.

Recently, we mentioned that we found undeclared soy products in the pediatric vitamin D being distributed by the pharmacy at the Walmarts in our area.  We use that pharmacy for two reasons – it’s pretty close and the owner/operator is not ownly a pharmacist but a certified lactation consultant as well.

After discoving the soy in JAMP-Vitamin D, we mentioned it to the staff at the pharmacy who gave us the owner’s private phone number so that we could address it with her directly.

So far our messages have gone unreturned, and when my wife went to buy more vitamin D for the little one last night, she was given the same soy-containing stuff as before.  Not only, that, but when she asked to change it, the pharmacist working (not the owner) wouldn’t believe her that the product has soy in it.  To top it off, they were sold out of any other brand.
